Description: The inkstand features a central winged cherub (putto) in a dynamic pose, reaching upwards with one arm, holding a bird in his hand. The cherub is rendered with fine detail, from his curly hair to his plump form and feathered wings. He appears to be perched on or emerging from a rocky or naturalistic base, which integrates with the broader design of the inkstand.

Flanking the cherub are two clear glass inkwells, each set into a decorative gilt metal holder. These holders are adorned with classical motifs. The inkwells are topped with circular gilt metal lids. Each lid features a relief of a female figure in profile. In the front of the inkstand, there is a pen holder.
