This late 19th century Wilcox Silver Plate Co. lidded casket style inkstand with rope trim features double glass inkwells with hinged lids flanked by a removable quill box and channel for writing utensils. The casket’s lid has pierced ornate flowers and scrolls and rests on four scrolled feet. The base is stamped with the Wilcox Silverplate hallmark S P & Co., c. 1870’s.
