This is a hand-carved Black Forest inkstand designed in the form of a wheatsheaf, hat, and sickle. The inkstand is carved to resemble a bundle of wheat stalks tied together, with a sickle and a hat placed on top. The sickle has the name “VEVEY” carved into it, which is a reference to a town in Switzerland. The hat is hinged and houses a glass inkwell inside.
