This Weller pottery inkstand in the Flemish pattern features two blue birds perched on a branch. The inkstand’s arched backdrop in the form of branches provides an elegant frame for the birds. The branch beneath them has leaves and berries. The creamy beige base holds the inkwell and serves as a pen tray. Impressed on the underside in block letters is “WELLER”.
Two examples are shown – a second without birds but in the same Flemish pattern.
Sold for $275 in May 2024; Second example (without birds) sold for $400 in March 2019
