A vaseline glass inkstand featuring two inkwells and a central thermometer, all set on a matching tray. The glass has a distinctive yellow-green hue, typical of vaseline glass, which contains uranium and glows under UV light. Each inkwell has a square body with a round faceted lid and is positioned on a matching tray with a pen channel in front. The thermometer is mounted vertically in the center of the tray and has markings for both Fahrenheit and Reaumur. (Reaumur is an older temperature scale where water freezes at 0 degrees and boils at 80 degrees).
