A unique inkstand made by the Van Bergh Silver Plate Co. in Rochester NY. The company name and “Quadruple Plate – 1792” are stamped on the underside of the base. A removable glass inkwell has a lid with a chain (apparently made so the lid would not be misplaced).
Sold for $50 in January 2024
