The Unger Bros Indian design on an inkwell is hard to find. This sterling silver inkwell has the face of an Indian chief on its side and lid. The unattached lid just lifts off to access the ink. The inkwell is marked with the intertwined UB mark, 925 Fine Sterling, UB logo.

Unger Brothers, a premier American silver maker, operated in Newark, NJ from 1872 – 1910, and were known for their intricate Art Nouveau designs.

Sold for $1800 in February 2024
