This inkstand features a gold-finish metal base adorned with intricate detailing and foliate feet, reflecting a Rococo influence. At the center, a pen rack designed to resemble the Capitol Building serves as both a decorative element and a holder for the pens. The word “CAPITOL” is prominently displayed on the front. Flanking the pen rack are two crystal inkwells with beveled edges, each nestled within holders that boast Greek anthemion galleries—a motif of stylized flowers or leaves. The inkwells are topped with loose brass covers.
