This brass inkstand on a stone base depicts two boys playing. The boy in front is depicted in mid-stride, pulling the other boy who is seated in something resembling a sled or a large cloth, like a bedsheet. The boys are dressed in period clothing. The seated boy’s head is hinged to open, revealing the inkwell inside.
