Early Victorian bronze inkwell in the form of an English horse drawn walk behind plough.
This inkwell represents an English ‘Turn Wrest’ plough commonly found in Kent, Great Britain. (Also known as a Kentish Turn Wrest Plough) used in the latter half of the 18th century.
The very detailed plough portion of this inkwell can be adjusted like the original full-size plough for different simulated soil conditions and pulling teams.
This inkwell has a ponce pot (aka: sand shaker) which was used to help make rough paper better-able to hold ink. Pounce pots fell out of use in the very early 19th-century after better paper-making techniques came along.
Porcelain Inkpot.

There appear to be shared design elements between this inkstand and another on this website, including motifs such as the harvest basket, wheat sheaves, and harvesting tools. These similarities strongly suggest that both inkstands were likely produced by the same manufacturer.
