This spherical form, reminiscent of a diver helmet, was undoubtedly part of Tiffany’s “Fancy Goods” line. The body is set with Favrile glass cabochons throughout. The hinged door, with a ring handle, opens to reveal a gimbal-like pivoting mechanism supporting the inkwell. The whole piece is further raised on a swivel lily pad style base.
