Many of Tiffany’s designs were based on nature as shown with this patinated bronze inkwell in the form of a crab. The creature holds the inkwell in his claws. There is a storage compartment beneath the crab’s shell.
The piece is impressed “Tiffany Studios” with the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company monogram, and “22/29233”.
Sold for $16,000 in May 2022
