Byzantine was one of Tiffany’s most intricate patterns, built up with elaborate rows and circles of bronze beading. Its production was labor-intensive. The pieces of glass, as well as the glass cabochons, had to be inserted with great precision. The finish on Byzantine is usually gold. The glass and cabochons come in various colors, with red/orange coral most common. Two examples are shown here.
Example 1 (red) sold for $2048 in December 2022
Example 2 (green glass & black cabochons) sold for $2478 in January 2012
