This German porcelain inkstand by Conta Boehme features three little girls. They are dressed in period attire, gathered around a table adorned with a floral-patterned tablecloth. Their expressions and clothing details add a sweet, playful character to the inkstand.
The entire composition lifts off to reveal a concealed tray beneath. This tray houses an inkwell and a sander. The holders for the inkwell and sander feature a whimsical touch found in many Conta Boehme pieces: the face of a mustachioed man on the front.
