Signed bronze inkstand by Peter Tereszczuk, features a couple, with handcrafted faces, embracing. Tereszczuk was born in 1875 in the Ukrainian city of Wybudow. He created most of his works, which stylistically correspond to the Art Nouveau period, from 1895 to 1925 in Vienna where he spent most of his life. The sculptor mainly created bronze sculptures, sometimes with delicate ivory elements and small figural art works like this inkstand. The lid for the inkwell is missing.
