Tartan Ware Scottish ‘Abercrombie’ Inkstand

This inkstand is finished in a tradional Abercrombie plaid tartan, which is mainly green and blue. The edges are painted in a gold pinstrip.  The decorative moldings are finished in green. The name tag “Abercrombie” in gold lettering is on the top. There a two pen channels located on either  side of a silverplated lifting handle. A pair of glass inkwells with silverplated screw off lids sit in their sunken recesses. A pull-out drawer to the front would hold writing accessories. The inkstand is seated on four turned pad feet.
