The two original hand-blown cut glass inkwells measure 2 ½” square by 4” tall to the top of the finials on the original sterling silver covers and they have polished pontils on the bottom. There are pen rests in the front and in the back. Every part and piece of sterling is hallmarked by the London silversmiths, J. Wrangham and William Moulson and dates to 1838.
