This rectangular inkstand is raised on four pierced paw bracket feet and has a pierced scroll gallery. It holds two glass inkwells with sterling silver lids and a central holder for wax wafers, etc. It is hallmarked for London, 1839 with a maker’s mark for Joseph Angell and John Angell.
