This sterling silver desk set compendium, crafted by Asprey of London in 1934 and hallmarked for London, is a fine example of Art Deco design. The central container is hinged and holds two glass inkwell inserts. On the left side is a square-faced clock with Arabic numerals and can be removed from the base. Positioned on the right side is a removeable frame for a picture. The base is sterling silver mounted on a heavy black stone.
