Solid silver oval-shaped double inkstand with castellated design around the edge of the base. Two inkwells with hinged domed lids, engraved with the initial “S” in Gothic script, have their original glass inserts. The inkstand is hallmarked for Birmingham, 1923, with makers mark for A.&J. Zimmerman Ltd. Stamped RD. 623332 to base.
