Quite the macabre piece of pottery – this sinister character appears to have blood dripping from his mouth! Or maybe it’s red ink? And maybe the hole in his forehead is a result of a sharp pen attack! And a pen could rest there forevermore. Even in Victorian times, people were fascinated with the gothic and supernatural.
