This globe-shaped glass inkwell features a detailed overlay of bronze forming a wreath with ribbons, a crest, and torches. It rests on three bronze feet. The top half is hinged and, when opened, is attached to the bronze rim around the base with a delicate chain to keep the lid in place. A small green polished stone serves as a grip to open the lid.
