This porcelain inkstand features a King Charles Spaniel lying on a cushioned couch or settee. The dog and the cushion are designed to be removable, revealing an inkwell and a sander beneath them. The ends of the couch are adorned with snake-like creatures, likely inspired by classical or baroque styles. The number “25” in impressed on the underside.
