Silverplated Inkstand by Elkington

This silver electroplated inkstand from the late 19th century is an example of Victorian craftsmanship by Elkington & Co. The tray is elongated with ornate edges and a pen channel and features a central rectangular box for storing writing utensils. On either side of this box are two cut crystal inkwells, each with intricately designed lids adorned with figural heads. These inkwells are set in ringed bases that are part of the tray. The Elkington & Co. stamp, along with the letter “P” are stamped on the underside.
