Art Deco inkwell by Asprey & Co. with full hallmarks for Birmingham, 1928. The glass block inkwell has a sterling silver (engine turned) hinged lid. The lid bears the maker’s mark A&Co Ltd (Asprey & Co.); Birmingham assay office mark: lion silver mark; date letter D for the year 1928.
