Old Sheffield-mounted inlaid mahogany writing box with blind dovetailed drawer and silver knob, resting on silver bun feet. On top are an inkstand with a square cut glass inkwell and sander, and a round wafer pot topped with a taper candle stick holder and snuffer between two pen grooves. All silver elements are accented by gadrooned edges. The interior of the wafer pot is stamped I N, in a serrated rectangle.
