This Sèvres porcelain inkstand features an inkwell on a porcelain tray with elaborate gold accents and hand-painted floral motifs. The central cylindrical inkwell is capped with a lid that mirrors the base’s decorative elements. Featured are two hand-painted figures. The male wears knee-length breeches and stockings. The female wears a full skirt with a fitted bodice, both reflecting the fashion of the time.
