This whimsical inkwell depicts a rooster breaking out of an egg. The egg, rooster head and base are made from wood. The feet are brass. The brass top has a rubber stopper on its inner surface. The top pops up when the catch is released. A small clear glass inkwell is held within. One of the rooster’s waddles is truncated (on the rooster’s right side) and one glass bead insert for an eye is missing (on the rooster’s left side).
