A pen wipe in the form of a charging ram with curled horns. Set in the ram’s body are densely packed boar’s hair bristles and made stiff to clean the nibs of dip pens. They prevented clogging by removing excess ink.

Two examples are shown – one of bronze, the other spelter metal.
