The inkstand includes three containers (two inkwells and a storage receptacle), each topped with a dome-shaped lid adorned with a pointed gold finial. The decorative patterns on the containers include vertical cream-colored stripes bordered by gold lines, creating a striking contrast with the green. The lids also have concentric circles in gold and cream. The underside is marked “Made in France” and has an unidentified mark of crossed arrows or crossed torches.
