Blue & white porcelain inkstand, with lidded inkwell, sander, and undertray. It is marked on the bottom with an impressed “Lippert & Haas In Schlaggenwald” as well as two impressed letters that I believe are date marks. They look like “LT” but I am not sure of the second letter, a T is the closest I could make it. The Lippert & Hass In Schlaggenwald mark was used from 1808 – 1867.

The porcelain factory in Schlaggenwald was founded by Georg Paulus in 1793. The Greiners took it over around 1800 and in 1808 Lippert & Hass took it over from them and used the “Lippert & Haas In Schlaggenwald” mark . The name & mark changed in 1867 to “Hass & Czjzek”. Today the area is known as Horni Slavkov Bohemia.

Sold for $140 in December 2016
