This brass inkwell has a strong Islamic, Persian, or Turkish aesthetic. The entire surface of the inkwell is covered with intricate engraved patterns. These patterns appear to be of Islamic or Persian origin, featuring stylized floral motifs and geometric designs. The inkwell rests on three hoof-shaped feet. The most identifying feature is the finial on the lid, which is a crescent moon. This is a significant symbol in Islamic culture and suggests a connection to that region.
