Perry & Co. of London made this blue stoneware inkstand. It is attached to a scalloped edged underplate. Marked “Perry & Co London Patent”, it has a funnel type opening and a filling hole. Missing is the rubber stopper which could be used to increase the pressure as it was lowered into the ink cavity. Pictured is a version of this inkwell that has the stopper, along with an advertisement for the “Patent Pneumatic Fountain Inkstands”.
