The form accurately mimics the design of an early open-carriage automobile with a distinct single bench seat:
- Body: The car body features a prominent bench seat situated above the larger rear wheels, designed to accommodate two passengers. The seat has a curved backrest and decorative railings. In front of this seat is steering wheel mounted vertically on a central column.
- Wheels: The automobile has four spoked wheels with rubber tires. The rear wheels are significantly larger than the front steering wheels, which is characteristic of many early car designs.
- Hinged Seat: The bench seat, positioned above the larger rear wheels, is hinged. When opened, it provides access to the functional elements of the inkwell:
- Inkwell: A glass insert is located beneath the hinged seat.
- Pen Wipe: Bristles for wiping ink from a pen nib is also present within this compartment.
