This glass inkwell, made at the Marlboro Street Glassworks in Keene, New Hampshire dates from 1820 and 1840. It is hand blown and has an open pontil mark on the bottom. The pontil rod was used to hold the glass during its formation, and when it was broken off, it left a rough, unfinished scar. Olive-Amber in color, the inkwell features diamond and dot patterns around its body and a ribbed design at its bottom.
