This square-shaped Nippon inkwell features a hand-painted image of an early automobile set against a backdrop of a tree and hills – a nostalgic scene from the early days of motoring. A different side features a landscape scene with trees, mountains, and a light pastel sky. Another panel is painted with three stylized red-orange flowers with green leaves. The inkwell has the Nippon mark – a circular wreath-like design in the center with text around the circle reading “Hand Painted Nippon,” with “Hand Painted” at the top and “Nippon” at the bottom.
