This double inkstand is crafted from mulga wood, featuring a natural and rustic design. The bark is still visible on the edges. It has two inkwells with round lids. In front of the inkwells, there’s a space for holding pens or quills, secured by a curved metal holder. The base showcases the distinct wood grain patterns with rich brown tones and lighter streaks, characteristic of mulga wood.
Mulga wood comes from the Mulga tree (Acacia aneura), native to the arid regions of Australia. This wood is known for its hardness and durability, making it ideal for crafting decorative items. Its rich brown color and attractive grain patterns add to its appeal, making it a popular choice for items like inkstands.
