This Meissen inkwell features a rich pink color adorned with gold gilding and intricate hand-painted floral motifs in various colors like blue, yellow, orange, and green. There are insects painted on the lid. The inkwell rests on a scalloped edged underplate. The crossed swords mark on this inkwell is a hallmark of Meissen porcelain. The tray is impressed with X47.
