This marble inkstand is rectangular in shape with an outward curving front forming a pen tray. The black marble has white and golden veining – possibly Black Portoro marble. The edges of the marble base are trimmed with a beadwork design, which carries over to cylindrical metal inkwell containers. The original two-piece glass inserts are present.
