This inkstand features a sculpture of a running man, crafted in a bronze-like material, frozen mid-stride with his arms bent and his head slightly tilted back. He wears a sleeveless top and shorts and looks as if he’s in the final spurt in a race. The inkwell is in the hinged container on the left. This container has a domed structure with ornate vertical grooves and a floral motif.
