This majolica inkstand is a nice example of tin-glazed pottery. Its vibrant polychrome color palette features shades of blue, accented with yellow and brown. The central inkwell decorated with a cherub face is capped with a lift-off lid with a decorative finial. Elaborate scroll-like structures and floral garlands complete the piece. The underside is marked with the letter “H”.
