This hand painted inkstand from France (marked Longwy) with enameled floral decoration has two lidded inkwells and a center compartment for storage and two pen holes.

Longwy is in French Lorraine near the border with Belgium. Longwy was home to several manufacturers who decorated earthenware using a cloisonné technique.

Sold for $400 in August 2023
