This inkwell looks to represent the fields of engineering, mechanical, and hydraulics.
Components are possibly either of:
- Gate Valve Hand Wheel, and Water Main/Well Cap (Water Industry)
- Ship Hatch Wheel, and Capstan (Nautical homage)
A hand wheel turns a lifting lever to open a cap that covers a pipe.
There is a band that encompasses the shaft that appears to be rows of waves, which sits on a ‘bevel gear’ base.
Missing Inkpot. Will fit an Inkpot with these measurements:
- Flange Size: 3.6 cm
- Outside body Size: 3.1 cm
- Max Height not to exceed: 4.5 cm
