On the inside of the lid is the inscription: “Lanz’s 34th Anniversary Gift – Norristown PA” – a give-away from a local business. This square-form inkstand has a pen holder in the front and features ornate embellishments. A stern face is the focal point of the inkstand evoking the imagery of the North Wind (Boreas). The inkstand was made by Art Metal Works of Newark NJ.
