This double inkstand features a boy kneeling at the center, holding a seashell to his ear, listening to the ocean. Lift the boy up and find a storage receptacle underneath. There are inkwells on either side of the boy. The lids are detailed with leaves and foliage. Behind the boy are arching branches with a bird’s nest full of eggs and serves as a pen holder. The base carries the oceanic theme with floral and marine motifs.
