This pen wipe is crafted in the form of a kingfisher. The bird is painted in vibrant blue and red hues, with a long, pointed beak. The eyes are made of glass. The bristles on the back of the bird, which were used to wipe pens, are made of horsehair or a similar material.

Sold for $135 in November 2024
