This Art Deco fine bone china inkwell was manufactured by Royal Doulton to commemorate the SILVER JUBILEE of THEIR MAJESTIES KING GEORGE V AND QUEEN MARY in 1935. One side features the sepia photo of the royal couple. The other side features a crown between “G” “M” above the years showing “1910 – 1935”. There are gold splashes of gilding on the corners and the “handle” of the removeable lid is finished in gilding. The underside of the inkwell shows the Royal Doulton manufacturing information and further commemoration, “SILVER JUBILEE   1910   1935   OF THEIR MAJESTIES  KING GEORGE V-QUEEN MARY”.  

Sold for $49 in June 2024
