This bronze inkstand features intricate champlevé enamel work, characterized by cobalt blue enamel filling carved recesses in the metal base. It includes a central hinged lidded container for ink (insert missing). In the front is a pen tray with a pen holder. The piece is adorned with turquoise stones and possibly pearls or garnets. The combination of detailed metalwork, vibrant enamel, and gemstones showcases high craftsmanship and artistic value.
