This sterling silver portable desk accessory consists of an inkwell and a pounce pot held in a rectangular base with an etched cherry blossom design. The inkstand was made in Yokohama, Japan, a major port and center for trade with the West. It has a sun mark on the base.

Sold for $200 in January 2025
