A decorated tabletop inkwell and brush holder made in traditional Yatate style, but it is very large and wasn’t intended for travelling.
The famous Tokugawa family crest (Kamon) on the top of the brush holder.
The Tokugawa crest is a circle in closing three leaves of the awoi (a species of mallow, found in Central Japan) joined at the tips.
Inscription at the bottom of inkwell (translation still to be done).

Purchased for $200 in January 2024
